An official website for work "Vampire Knight" is now pre-opened for the upcoming anime series starting this Spring.

"Vampire Knight" is a popular manga series by Matsuri Hino serialized in the monthly manga for girls called "LaLa" (Hakusensha) since 2005. Until now, six manga volumes were released so far, as well as audio drama CDs for the "LaLa" readers.

The story takes place in a prestigious private school private school called Kurosu Academy, where its students are divided into "Day Class" or "Night Class". It turns out that the members of the Night Class which is filled with beautiful elite students is all vampires. Yuki Kurosu and Zero Kiryu belongs to Day Class, and they are one of the few humans who know the secret of the Night Class, and they belong to school's disciplinary committee called Guardian. The heroine of the series Yuki is a girl who lost her memories before 10 years ago. She secretly yearns
for Kaname Kuran, the president of the Night Class as she leads her life in the academy with her childhood friend Zero and her foster parent, the Headmaster of the academy, etc. The story continues focusing on the beautiful vampires of the Night Class, the heroine Yuki, and to reveal the secret which Zero who despise them... And a new legend filled with beauty, mystery, and wistful relationship between the vampires and humans.

In the Official Site that made its pre- opening just recently has the lists of creation staffs and voice casts which have been decided so far, and more information of the anime will be added and updated. Meanwhile, the publisher of its original manga Hakusensha also released "Vampire Knight" Special Feature Page, and here they give story plot, brief character profiles, lists of the comics by the same author, plus an 80-seconds teaser trailer of the work as well.

The anime production staffs include Kiyoko Sayama (who handled "Pretear - The New Legend of Snow White" (director), "Now and Then, Here and There ", "NANA", "DEATH NOTE", "D.C. -Da Capo-", "Ai yori Aoshi" (storyboards) etc,); series organization by Mari Okada (who handled "Kodomo no Jikan", "Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo!" (series organization), and "Hamutaro" (screenplay), etc); and character design is by Asako Nishida (who handled "Detective Conan" (animation supervisor, key animation), "Mai-HiME" series, "Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion", "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY" (key animation), etc).
The animation production is by STUDIO DEEN (which handled "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" series, "Kyou Kara Ma-Ou" Series, etc)

The animation will start from April 2008, on TV TOKYO Corporation related stations.
