Risa-chan
in relaxation mode...finally...
Risa-chan
contemplates taking up smoking?!?
(About what
she felt that she personally achieved)
I think that
it was generally a really good learning experience. I got to see
what kinds of things are popular with American anime fans and what
kind of stuff people want. It was also really interesting to see
what other shops were selling and what their prices were like.
I also heard
a lot about other conventions - some of which sound really interesting
to maybe attend in the future...
(Difficulties)
Sometimes I
don't know what titles are if they have changed them from the original
Japanese (Don't worry me too sweetie - MJ). Also I couldn't answer
all the questions people asked me because I really don't know about
every anime that's been released!
But my biggest
hassle was sometimes not really understanding what people said -
or them not understanding me...

her first beer since recovering from the flu.

and Guiness cause her to pass out.
(Other comments)
1. The yellow
card warnings which I got from several sources on our bag are understandable,
but since a lot of anime, video games, and maga use that kind of
expression and it's really not a problem in Japan... I thought that
was more of the cultural issue... Not only words, but that is also
true about certain scenes used in anime, and selling that to the
mass market in the US is ... and their related items... is more
of the deeper issue to think about. The restrictions of broadcasting
codes seem very tight in the US, and so sharing the "same" work
between countries on TV isn't that easy... and so we really do need
to research more about the market and other parts...
2. We need to
attend a lot more events like AX - unfortunately, we've moved our
office and getting though that became our priority for the remaining
of this year... If we do, then we'll probably have smaller booth
and attend a lot more...
