Wonder
Festival 2000 Summer (page
2 of 7)
This year, there were
1,461 professional and amateur booths (if I counted off the map in the
guide book correctly?!) and 13 promotional spaces for companies occupying
the huge exhibition spaces of East Halls 2 through 6.
Some booths occupied
3 spaces or more, while others had their wares tightly packed onto one
table. Some were excellent and professionally made, but other less-that-triple-
A-grade amateur works were brilliant as well.

For the amateur dealers,
this occasion gives them a chance to show off their skills, as well as
to exchange information with other fellow creators and artisans. Their
products may not be as high quality as corporate releases, but at Wonder
Festival, that is perfectly all right, since this is a festival and not
a competition. Both exhibitors and visitors know this fact well, so some
visitors come to this place not to buy any particular works, but to enjoy
spotting the emerging talents of up-and-coming modellers, and to share
their common knowledge and passion of garage-kits.
